The PS2 version of the sims 2 takes the fun out of the game.
The Sims 2 Graphics on the ps2 are not that bad but the pc version of sims2 has obviously far better graphics, although characters do look sharp and somehow realistic.
Now for the Gameplay, gameplay in the sims 2 is really boring and includes "saving the day" for other sims and keeping your sim happy by succesfully grant their wishes which are non-sense like jumping on trampoline (which is not anyone's wish, i think.)Also Sims 2 has a "story" in which you solve problems of other sims who are not going well in the restaurant business,cleaning their houses,reparing their kitchens,buying them stuff ect.ect... it's a total ripp-ff and is not new or original and you get bored in like 3/4 hours you begin the game.
The Controls are what i liked most in the sims 2 and besides the classic controls of the sims, comes a new feature which i like to see in all the sims games, it is the third person control of your sim. You get to move your sim around with you analog stick and get him to do stuff when you get near an object example you have to go near a bed in order to sleep (which is highly original for a ps2 version of the sims.) Well that is some of the better things in the sims 2 in this ps2 version
the good: well there is not much but the new third version view and control of your sims is good and the graphics are not-that-bad for a ps2 version
the bad: the sloppy planned gameplay of the sims 2 which is a total ripp-off for a the sims gmae.
bottom line: well if you are looking for something good to play just invest your money in the PC version of the sims 2 but if you dont own a fast and good pc then get this game but don't say that i nobody warned you about it.
Dissapointing affort by ea games, I would really like ea games and maxis making more effort on the ps2 version so in the future the not-so-good rating can somehow rise.
