Sim's fan disapointed.

I have purchased every previous Sims game on the consoles and I also own the PC version, but of course you can't really compare them both.

Now, graphically I think it went down the drain compared to Bustin' Out. I mean if you look at the face and the shoes, they are weird looking! Sure the game has the many different clothes available but the shoes are disapointing. But of course this is not what makes the game.
I like the fact that you can move your character, a good plus! But, it's hard to have direct control and then move the other roommates, that's when you have to go to classic mode.

To say the truth, I suppose what bugs me about this game is the fact that I feel that there isn't a sense of "story" in the story mode! I feel like the main purpose is to just unlock all the items available. In the original The Sims, and The Sims Bustin' Out, even though it wasn't an "amazing" story, but nonetheless you had an objective to move out of your mother's house and reach the top of the food chain. In this game I don't get a sense of anything as that. Sure that's what you are suppose to do because otherwise what else are you going to do. But you don't feel that the game is pushing you to that goal.

I would really like for Maxis to take the "direct control" feature and make more of a adventure game such as it has been done in the GBA. Using your 3D sim and wonder about in a small town. I think The Sims would be more fun like that in the consoles, and it won't be compared to the PC version anymore. That's why I'm looking forward to the PSP version.
