The world is now much more alive and vibrant. Your Sims will age, die and interact with each other and behind the screens there is a high level of sophistication in relation to the human mechanics that people in real life would exhibit.

The types of personalities are reproduced, you will now experience aggressive people, shy people, extroverts, brave Sims and even ones who will fall over their feet when they get intimidated. There is even an area for crime related incidents and you may notice burglars at night breaking into houses to steal things inside.

Inside the houses there have also been changes to the mechanics of the core gameplay with some irritating aspects taken out to make the gameplay faster and smoother, you still need to balance the daily requirements such as, working, eating and socializing with learning skills to enhance abilities for a possible job promotion. Sims will even have ti work on maintaining friendships with other Sims or they will loose touch.

The fun part of balancing all of these requirements (and much, much more) is that there is never enough time to get it all finished, so some aspects will need sacrifice.

There is a new system of building homes for your Sims which involves a basic CAD style program. This gives you a much more sophisticated system of building you Sims virtual dream house and when this is combined with all the options for selecting interior design, furniture and objects, it is a hugely stunning experience. Heck, you can even make your own custom patterns to use in the game which you can share and swap with friends online to customize your home.

Graphically, Sims 3 has received a huge overhaul and the engine has been revamped to bring it in line with up to date requirements. Playing The Sims 3 on a semi powerful gaming system means you crank all the sliders to maximum and enjoy the whole experience, even those with a less than stellar gaming PC will be able to have a lot of fun.

The Sims 3 is a fantastic game, there are many options on offer to make long term playability viable. EA deserve credit for realizing that the franchise required an overhaul and this should ensure that the audience of Sims 3 fanatics are happy for a very long time to come.
