Being a fan of the Sims since the original release back in 2000, the "Sims 4(2.5) is a massive disappointment. Only true sims fans and players of all the originals can truly grasp how much of the downgrade TS4 is over TS3 and I'm talking about a base to base version comparison here, I'm not taking into account TS3 expansion packs at all - TS4 is lacking so many major features that came with the initial release of Sims 3 that it just isn't funny at all, even little things like Alarm Clocks and Dishwashers are missing, EA seriously dropped the ball hard on this one, either that or they are planning on nickel and diming everyone for all the 'missing content'
At first, when I initially read this blog about all the missing features - I thought it was an overstatement, but unfortunately its actually quite true - at least, a few features are on the drawing board such as Toddlers and Ghosts but still, there is just so much missing content that playing the Sims 4 right now is just makes you want to sigh sadly

In all honesty, in its current price range it just isn't worth the $60+ period - EA should be charging $30 for this because of the sheer about of missing content, just playing the game for a day or two and you already start to get bored because there isn't that much to do, not much to explore. Any first time simmers are far better of spending that $60+ on the Sims 3 and expansions. Perhaps, Sims 4 'might' be a good game in a few years time and some major upgrades and expansions but right now, EA has major damage control to do.
