Almost Great...

User Rating: 7.5 | The Sims: Life Stories PC
The Sims Life Stories is a separate franchise from The Sims 2 but it's look and game play is pretty much the same but with less features. The "Stories" series is a laptop-friendly edition of The Sims 2 but it just isn't enough to give die hard sims fans what they want.

Graphics are good, and sound is okay. You'll find the "simlish" speaking sims repeating the same phrase over and over and over again and the music gets boring after a while but you can still add in your own mp3s from your PC.

The game is good for people new to the sim and sim players on the go who just want a quick game but you'll find yourself doing the same thing over and over and over. Yes the games repetitive but that doesn't mean its not a good game. Story Mode is fun and the exclusive items that you can't find in The Sims 2 are pretty nice but there's not much to choose from. You can use custom content you find on sites but most just don't work or will slow down the game.

The fact that there's absolutely no expansions what so ever makes the game even more repetitive.

So this games yes and no. It's good not great. Buy it if your PC isn't high end or if you want a sim game that runs smoothly on your laptop. If you can run Sims 2 with expansions just go with that.
