My wife and I had Sims 2 for quite some time. It's a very good game. However, when we tried to run it on our laptop it lagged a lot. So here comes Sims Life Stories. It's basically a thinner Sims 2. In the classic mode (free will mode), the options for the sim characters are basically the same. It's fun but not quite as loaded as Sims 2. But the story mode is something different. It brings you into the game and makes you focus on you character rather than building big houses that won't be used.
All in all, this game is pretty good. Far from great and far from horrible. If you want a SIms 2 game with less features but with story mode, you'll like this game. If you already own Sims 2, don't bother with this game. But this game being labeled "laptop friendly," it works pretty good. We have a 1.4 ghz processor, 512 ram, and 60 gb hard drive and the game works pretty good. It still lags some, but it's not horrible.
