Should've been soo much more!

I had high hopes for this game after i saw a HBO special on it. Typically, i wont even touch a game made after a movie/show, etc. They always just suck. Well this game isnt much different. You play a character that is written into the Soprano gang.. and not even a good one.. you plan the son of that fat traitor Big **** The missions are lame, the overall fighting is frustrating, boring and repetitive. The graphics are a travesty to the actual actors. For the overall gameplay, there just isnt anything that keeps me wanting to play more. Its not like you can buy a car with all the cash and loot you steal.. hell not even a new jogging suit (we all know these guys have closets full of em). You CAN buy lap dances.. however, they are short and the chicks arent even topless (even though there are topless women dancing on the poles). I just had enough after about 4 hours. I didnt even have a desire to see how it all turns out. The good? Sound. As stated in the GS review, all the actors from the show play their bit, which is actually quite impressive. Its the ONLY thing that makes you feel like youre actually interacting with THE Sopranos (but i wish i couldve interacted a bit with Meadow, if you catch my drift). The "Special" moves are neat to see the first couple times they happen, and the interaction with the environment to produce special moves is pretty cool, but thats if you can get to them. Remember i said the fighting was frustrating? Well forget about beating up 3 guys at once. Once they all start their beat down, there isnt much you can do.. at all.. cant run, hit back, etc. you just get locked on and knocked off. Restart. Irritating. So weapons are a neccesity and you gotta run around like a damned fool. Shoot em you say? not if you dont want to lose respect (oh wait, this really that important. so go ahead. cap em.) Anyway, It might be worth $3-4 to rent and check out the digital boobs and hear the f-bomb come from the real actors, but then again, why not just go rent the actual Sopranos show.. or watch it on HBO. Your choice.
