a great game that offers something different to the survival horror genre
The graphics aren't amazing but their cool, the physics are great, the framerate is smooth and the character and monster designs are original and new. Also, after a close up fight torque is totaly soaked in blood from your enemies, how cool is that.
The soundtrack is amazing, you can't describe what what it is, but it is truly creepy and unsettling. The sfx are great too, the weapons sound pwerful and realistic and the monster noises are cool.
The gameplay is very strange for a survival horror game, instead of solving puzzles, conserving ammo and running away from the occasional enemy that you meet instead of shooting it and then kicking it in the head (silent hill 3), now you just shoot everything and ask questions later, theres no need to conserve any ammo because there's so much of it and the occasional puzzles are easy and only take a couple of minutes to figure out. This different type of gamesplay is awesome and i like this type of survival horror much better than the old type (which is why resident evil 4 rocks aswell).
This is quite a long game, it spans about 20 levels which took me around 15-16 hours to complete, the fact that in some parts its also quite hard extends the game aswell. It has amazing replay value because there are 3 endings to get which you get based upon your moral or immoral choices throughout the game.
The suffering is a great game that you should buy right away, enjoy.
