Being a fan of the film I was obviously completely psyched when I heard there was going to be a game, and it did not dissapoint. The game manages to capture all of the suspense and paranoia that the original film had, matched it up with squad combat, and a great plot. Unanswered questions from the film are answered, and new ones raised. You get to explore some of the familiar spots from the film such as McReady's shack (what's left of it) the camp, the Norwegian camp and so forth. Most of that is for fans of the film. The gameplay is a little hard at first, it took some time for me to get used to the controls, but doesn't take too long to master. Not only do you control your squad, but you have to control their fear and paranoia, you're not just a combat leader, but you have to keep your men from falling apart mentally, and then there is always the fear that one of your men is one of them. The creatures are gross and scary, the suspense can get so thick you can cut it with a knife, and the gameplay is fun. I have just two bits of advice. First, make sure you have seen the movie, second go get this game and get ready for one heck of a ride.
