Tomb Raider: Trilogy - Review

Hi all this is my review for the tomb raider trilogy. I'm gonna do this review in 3 different parts for the 3 different games.

TR: Legend

Tomb Raider: Legend is the first of Lara's many adventures. In the original Tomb Raider games for the PS1 and PS2, Xbox and a couple in Xbox 360, Legend was actually the 7th game, but strangely it's the one were the story basically starts.

Graphics: Graphics in a tomb raider game have to be at least 'all right'. This game certainly didn't disappoint - 8/10

Sound/Audio: The sounds were realistic but sometimes too quiet, I mean, I pushed a big boulder off a high cliff thing and it hardly made a sound - 6.5/10

Variety/Things to do: There's a lot of different things to do; ride motorcycles, use the grapple, shoot predators, lots to keep you coming back for more - 9/10

Gameplay: The gameplay was what you'd expect from a tomb raider game, fast moving and dangerous. Certainly fun, even if at some points a little realistic or jerky - 8.5/10

Difficulty: Should have been harder, the puzzles were a bit too easy and Lara's many combat action moves deal with the enemy's - 6/10

Overall: The beginning and based on the quality, we now see why not the last - 8/10

TR: Anniversary

As any fans of the game should know, this was the 2nd of the series (or 8th) but 2nd in the Trilogy.

Graphics: Ah, the glorious graphics, pretty much brilliant! - 9/10

Sound/Audio: Again, a little unrealistic, but the voices saved this category from getting a lame 6 - 7/10

Variety/Things to do: Pretty much the same as Legend, although they are no vehicle sequences and that was really disappointing - 7.5

Gameplay: The puzzles were advanced as usual, but even though some were too advanced, it was still fun! - 8.5/10

Difficulty: Compared to Legend & Underworld, this game is very hard, and that's disappointing because it takes some of the goodness out of a good game - 6.5/10

Overall: Legend's successor was similar, but missed the mark on a few small details which made it slightly annoying - 8/10

TR: Underworld

The final phase of the epic trilogy, and who's to say that the bests not for last?

Graphics: ...stunning... - 9.5/10

Audio/Sounds: Tomb raider seemed to have finally got over the problem of making sounds too quiet or too loud, and with the voice over's, that made this part of the game beautiful - 9/10

Variety/Things to do: Well there's a vehicle in the 4th & 5th chapters. You get to use Thor's hammer, the world's most lethal weapon! But apart from that it was typical tomb raider; grapple & go, jump & climb, etc - 8/10

Gameplay: Finally got the right mix of what to do where and why, although a couple or more like quite a few annoying glitches keep this game from another 9 - 8/10

Difficulty: Just right... and I mean, 'just' right - 8/10

Overall: Underworld, despite me originally buying it separably, was the beauty and the reason to pay £30 for this trilogy.

So there you go, my Tomb Raider: Trilogy review. Overall I'd give it 8.5 out of ten and I'd definitely pay £30 for this pack (Well cmon! 3 great games in 1!) So that's it from me hoped you liked my review. Peace
