A haunting yet satisfying conclusion to season one that sets the stage for another to follow
In this year where we are swamped by triple AAA titles with disappointing and terrible endings, the final episode of Telltale's The Walking Game delivers and proves otherwise. The fantastic formula established by Telltale's previous works and in previous episodes is enhanced further with situations that will have you on the edge of your seat while getting rid of some of the annoying puzzle/quick-time annoyances that previous episodes had. Your choices in the previous episodes (including dialogue responses) will matter but ultimately, you still have the freeform of choice in this final episode to set your own ending. Fans of the series would know from the beginning that tragic events will unfold in this finale and they definitely do. The final scene after the credits will leave you pondering and have you pumped for the next season, which will mostly likely be due at the end of 2013 or Q1 2014. A minor niggle is the length of this finale - I finished it in less than 2 hours with exploration, proving to be the shortest Walking Dead episode Ive played. There are definitely some things that are left unanswered including the fate of several characters but with that said, it will most likely be provided in season two. All in all, while it is a bit short, it was a powerful, tense and highly emotional experience. If you've been with Lee and Clementine since the beginning, you will without a doubt shed a tear or two.
