ROCKSTAR didn't only give this classic cult film respect they moved it to a higher level! Highly recommended game! :)

When I first heard that the movie "The Warriors" was going to be made into a video game I was a little surprised being that the movie is over 25 years old and wasn't a SMASH hit in the theaters.It does have a good cult following and lends itself to what could be a great video game due to it hardcore theme.
The game starts three months prior then the movie and this helps the player get know the battle grounds also understand what and who the Warriors are. This was smart thinking from Rockstar (makers) to go back in time to explain what the hell is going on! The game flows perfectly with it's story and gives great background on the gang members. The controls work smooth and it's easy to pick up and play but is smart enough to challenge all that play it! It doesn't take a great deal of effort to enjoy this game it sells itself.
With this said, This game rocks! It is HARDCORE and not for everyone! Players beware.It is dark,violent and not for kids!
Conclusion:Rockstar didn't only give this classic cult film respect they moved it to a higher level! Highly recommended game! :)
P.S. I had the opportunity to play both the Xbox version and the PS2 version and they are about the same.
PS2 pros:Better control functions
Xbox pros: Slightly Faster load times and what appears to be better frame rates.
