The Witcher 3 is an open world action fantasy role playing game. You play as a Witcher and a Witcher's job is to do side missions and jobs for humans who can't defeat monsters or just need help with things. You get paid in GOLD or sometimes loot. What makes the Witcher 3 awesome though is just the sheer amount of content packed into this game. Side missions are so fleshed out they feel like storyline missions, they're very involved. It never really seems like you can just go complete a mission and return for a reward.. it's not that simple. There are different people you need to talk to and branching storylines that all evolve and the final conclusion of a quest. Besides quests to keep you busy you also have loot hunts which show you special loot to be found in undiscovered locations and you have contracts which are slaying beasts or whatnot. We're talking over 200 hours I'm roughly guessing here.. of gameplay!!! You def. get your money's worth with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

You are armed with two different swords at all times. Which is cool because at least you can get two different types of unique swords seeing as that's basically the only type of weapon you get. I think it would be awesome for that to add different types of weapons in the future.. long axes and so forth. For now.. a bunch of swords will do. You also get magic of course and potions to use as to create an advantage in combat. I never got into alchemy in the Witcher 3.. I crafted a shit loud of potions.. but in the end I never really used them.. for a number of reasons. The main reason is on regular mode you don't really NEED potions to defeat the enemy..so while you could be slayin' you'll be drifting through potion menus trying to find the right one and I just thought it was too tedious. Two: If you use potions your toxicity levels go up and if they reach a certain point you lose health anyway.

The storyline is deep with multiple choices and story line paths you can take through out the game. It's pretty cool how everything weaves into each other. Even if you haven't played the first two Witcher games you'll be okay. I didn't but soon you'll realize where all the characters stand with each other. All though I will say you will not KNOW 100% of a lot of characters full back story even though they cover a lot of ground in the Witcher 3. I wanted to know more about my past relationship with Yennefer and Ciri (Girlfriend and Daughter (kind of).

Combat is fun because you there are a lot of different techniques you can use when going into battle. Parrying is also easy to pull of which is cool. You get fatalities in slow motion if you kill enemies just right which is another cool feature. There have a vast variety of enemies.. monsters, humans, trolls you name it. The most unique enemy is the one that can fly.. land and fight you and also swim.. there's no place to hide from those creatures. Another thing I thought was neat was the fact that no matter what enemy you are fighting while in the water.. one cross bow arrow will kill it no matter what. I like that because I hate fighting in the water. It's annoying.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a game you can get lost in the giant open world with state of the art graphics, fun characters and there's always something to be done. Great game by a great company who put a ton a work into making this game awesome and you can tell the difference between a game that has been created by passion and a game that has been created just for money.. and this game was created with passion.
