One of the best games I've ever played

A colleague of mine had been incessantly telling me how great this game is and how it had to be on my "to-be-played-absolutely" list. And so, I've waited for a Steam price drop and got it.
At first (the very beginning of the game) I wasn't very impressed with it, the combat system was hard to understand; because the player is plunged almost directly into combat and the combat system is not very easy this can be a problem for first time players. So I stopped playing, picked up where I left a couple of days later. And I liked it. A lot. Everything in this game falls into place like it should:
-the graphics - excellent
-the story-innovative, fresh
-the combat system-after you get used to it, it's pretty good, not just point and click mindless gameplay
-the quests are varied, interesting, with many twists
-sound effects and music that fit perfectly
-believable NPC characters
I have high hopes of The Witcher 2, and from what I've seen so far (the devs have been very open about providing info about the game) it will not disappoint.
