When an anime based game hit the DS, you may look @ the graphics and think "simple". While it looks like a side-scroller, it is really an innovative game. Even though the sprites are all 2d, the environment you walk around in is 3d. Battles are not random like for example pokemon, you choose to have a battle. Though later in the game you may come across 'taboo noise' (Noise are your enemies) who attack you if you use your scanning ability. Scanning is how you read people's thoughts and see Noise. Noise are the bad or unusual thoughts of the virtualised city. It is a real city "Shibuya" which was virtualised well (If you've ever been, you would see relations.) The plotline has the best depth ever of any DS or even ANY game. I won't give away anything, but you play as an angsty teen who is - in an "interesting" situation. Something called "The Game".

The battles are run by the touch screen and by moving your stylus in various ways you perform various moves. These moves depend on the "Pins" or powerups you wield. These can level up and change slightly as well. You then, with your partner, on the top screen move around the d-pad to perform various combos. This part is far more simple, yet give a surprising depth to the game. Don't worry, those who cannot handle 2 battles can put it on autopilot. But it will not perform as well, especially in harder settings

There actually isn't much to dis about this game, except its lack of multiplayer. When you play the game, however, you will see that the little multiplayer it offers is all it could for it to really work. It offers a little minigame "Tinpin" this can actually take some searching of the city to unlock and I only discovered it later in the game due to my friend unlocking it and showing me. Oh, one other bad thing-only 1 save file.

Ok so my usual Goods and Gripes

If you have a DS and you're looking for something brilliant to play go no further than TWEWY as it is the most worthwile DS game and I recommend it to anyone.
