From the designers of the Kingdom Hearts series comes a very different style of RPG based around the pop culture of modern Tokyo. Right from the start it brings you in with a very twisted plot line that twists and turns all the way through the game. One of the most original properties of this game is the control system. Learning to fight a battle properly requires a lot of patience and practice. Battles take place on both screens, requiring you to divide your attention and focus on both. The character on the top screen fights using either the D-Pad or the A,B,X,Y buttons to solve a series of number or symbol games requiring your attention to battle effectively. The character on the bottom screen is controlled with the stylus, using different series of movements, such as tapping an enemy repeatedly, tapping your character repeatedly, slashing the enemy, slashing the character, drawing circles around your character, or keeping the stylus held down on an enemy, depending on the pins your character is equipped with. This unique battle system, combined with an intriguing storyline, a very diverse and interesting cast of characters, and an awesome soundtrack make this game one of the best released on the DS.
