This game needs a little bit of tweaking with the camera control scheme to bring it to current stratey game standards, but after that it is a highly addictive and fun game. This is definitely one of those hiddem gems that has a lot to offer if you are willing to put in a little bit of effort getting past the learning curve. This game is not Arcadey at all, you should check out some youtube videos or try out the demo to get an idea of what the gameplay looks and feels like. The attention to detail and the amount of stats in this game will please any stat geek, which also gives it a sort of RPG feel as your units get experience and stat upgrades.

Morale system: uses a psychological (morale) model for each individual combatant. The combatant's morale would be affected by factors such as being near officers, being supported by other units, being under fire, taking casualties, and being left without orders. Troops would be Stable when they were in no danger; Cowering when pinned down by enemy fire; or Panicked when surrounded by dead comrades, wounded or near enemy flamethrowers. The use of a psychological model made certain tactics common in RTS games, where the units will follow suicidal orders, impossible in this game. For example, attempting a "mass rush" in would result in units seeking cover, refusing to obey orders or even deserting.
