The Classic WWII Arcade Flight Combat Sim

How this got to be categorized as a "strategy" title is beyond me. Like the other reviewer here, I owned the PC version of this great game. I recently found it on an abandonware site and was able to load it with DOSBox but sadly, the download I had found was incomplete and the game failed to run because it was missing files. I wish I had kept my old PC-DOS games, especially this one!

I still remember the glorious 16 color EGA graphics that looked incredibly good for its time. The action was non-stop and the flight models very forgiving, thus I classified this an arcade type flight combat game.

I wish they would do a modern remake of this title. Secret Weapons over Normandy was not it, despite the fact that Larry Holland I think it is, was the designer of both titles.

In any case, if you ever see this somewhere, Google for the most recent DOSBox available at Sourceforge and you ought to be able to run it and it would be well worth the trouble. This game would still be very fun to play today. It remains the gold standard by which I judge the fun-factor in every flight combat sim I've ever played since.
