Fans of the series will love it, no doubt. But other stealth fans might want to look elswhere or at least rent it.

Thief was an okay game, but it needed alot polishing in some parts. First off the gameplay was good, but unfortunatley not great. Even though you can steal, pickpocket, club and kill, you'll realize there just isn't enough meat to the game. The graphics were unsuprisingly bad. The people walk around like they were robots with rusty arms and legs, the frame rate is slow and choppy, and there's nothing like seeing a dead body slump over like a ragdoll. The sound is really good in this game, although it can get a bit annoying sometimes. The controls were the worst. They were frustrating, unresponsive, and stiff, and the worst part is, there is no replay value in this game. Overall, this game was a big disappointment for a stealth fan like myself. For a GREAT stealth game, try out splinter cell or something.
