Thief is a game that fails on too many levels to make it a worthwhile addition to anyone's gaming collection. It cannot keep a frame rate above even 30fps if anything is moving at the same time you move. The visuals are bland, uninspired and just plain bad. The controls are finicky and unresponsive. The level design is linear. Most of the time it only gives you one way to pass through a room, which in a game that strives to give you the freedom to move as you see fit, seems pointless and frustrating. Most of what you steal is silverware, which makes you feel like more of an annoyance than a true thief. The story is boring, characters uninteresting, and the voice acting is on par with any performance by Keanu Reeves.
