Sadly,Tiger Woods 2006 fails to deliver!

It pains me to write this review, I love the EA Tiger Woods series.They have always been top notch...Sadly, Tiger Woods 2006 fails to deliver. Does that mean Tiger 2006 sucks? Absolutely not! It is a solid golf game with only minor flaws. Lets break this down quick and easy! 45% Thumbs up! The game looks great and does improve on last years 2005. Quicker load times (Xbox) and sharper graphics will be noticed! I really enjoyed the "Rival's mode", It is clever and it's also nice to see EA paying respect to the golf greats. The controls are solid and deliver a solid feel and touch. Creating a character is more advanced then the older titles and well done. The new courses are great and the brand new "Central park" course being one of the coolest made for any Tiger games :) 55% Thumbs down! While the game does improve on many levels it's failures are easily noted. The "Shape Stick", EA'S new improved swing mechanics doesn't make the cut! It does work like it says but not worth using.I was really looking forward to this new swing option and have tried to use it as much as I can but it SUCKS. The "Rival Mode" makes complete fools of the greatest golf hero's of the last 100 years.It's great to give honor to Old Thomas Morris, It's also shamefully to see him play like a weekend warrior hacker when playing against him! The same goes with Arnold, Jack..Ect. I could pick this game apart but I don't think that would be fair. The honest truth is that it is a FUN golf game but a very weak upgrade from 2005 and I'm fairly sure that the Xbox 360 version will be just like the Xbox with better graphics and faster load times but not much in the way of new content. Despite all this I'm really looking forward to Tiger 2007 on Xbox 360. Hopefully someone can bring new life to this great series! Mikethemonkey!
