I haven't played Tiger in a few years and this game made me miss it.
2010 makes you love the Tiger Woods series again. It includes 16 of the world's best courses plus, thus far, two DLC courses (The Predator and Spyglass Hill). The live weather feed, although gimmicky, is cool to play. The career mode features the traditional PGA Tour season and the "Tournament Challenge." The Tournament Challenge a variation of the old "Tiger Challenge" only more extensive.
In terms of gameplay, the driving, iron play, and short game play haven't changed much over the years; they are a little more refined. However, the new precision putting is great.
Achievement wise, the achievements are easy to get, just time consuming. You'll probably be able to approach 1000 in 25-30 hours or so. Building your golfer is pretty easy, particularly with Coach Hank Haney's help. Just be careful to have good rounds or your stats will GO DOWN!
A negative in this game is the commentary. Kelly Tilghman and Scott Van Pelt do not share the same comradery as Gary McCord and David Feherty. In fact their commentary is so mundane you'll almost certainly feel like muting the game.
Another negative is the lack of fantasy course. I used to appreciate them in the old Tiger games. However, The Predator is available for download for the low, low, low price of 600 Microsoft points. While it's a ripoff, the Predator is an awesome throw back.
Overall, if your a fan of the Tiger Woods series then you'll continue your fandom. If your looking for a sports game and want to try something new, I think you'll like this too.
