Its fun...its funny...its the best golfing game out there. Still.
The tournament mode is the best, as well. You play a full season as a PGA member starting in Hawaii, eventually traversing St. Andrews, and even get the shot to hit the "magic" 17 at TPC Sawgrass.
The commentary makes this work, too. I dont think (Other then the NHL titles) a better pair then these two. Flagherty (Pardon if his name is incorrect) is hilarious and best of all his ADVICE WORKS.
The graphics are solid, but they are plagued by the "pop-up" foliage that has haunted this franchise for seasons. The soundtrack is a bit odd (Rap, in a golf game?) but it works.
Another great plus is the huge amounts of accessories and customization. I dont think there is another game out there that allows you fully remake your overweight doppleganger into a Tiger-like stud.
What I like best is how much the game changes when you turn off EAsy play. Now, its like playing a real round of golf. No on screen indicators make it feel real.
Speaking of real, have I mentioned the shot meter? This works, dammit, and it works damn fine. A chip shot and a drive feel exactly as they would playing a "real" game of golf. But with a game as real as this one there is no excuse to go to the real links now.
Stay inside and enjoy this masterpiece.
