This game is so much fun and so addicting, I just can't seem to turn it off.

I haven't played much console golf, so, take this review for what it's worth. My experience with gold games goes back to Microsoft Golf at the end of the 90's. I always enjoyed that game and felt it was very well done. In my opinion, Tiger Woods takes golf to where it should be with today's technology. The different game modes give you a lot of flexibility. If you want to just dive right in, you can pick a golfer and hit the links. If you want more of a story and on-going challenge, you can create a golfer and start a career. The player creation process is fun in itself. The options in setting the facial features and attributes is pretty insane and gives you a lot of flexibility. You're limited on how talented you can make your player from the start, but, that's where the challenge comes in. The gameplay is very well done. Simple to learn and challenging to master. The tougher the course, the harder it is to play. Just like in real life. The controls are easy and you can get used to it pretty quickly. But the different variables of each course and the skill of your competitor will vary the challenge. Each time you hit the course, it's a different experience. The wind, the weather, the opponents all make it a different game everytime you turn it on. The graphics are fantastic. From the shadowing to the dimples on the golfball, it's extremely well done. There's not a piece that's overlooked. The reactions of the players and the details on the faceses are almost spooky they're so real. The sound is great, too. The ambient noise makes you feel like you're out there. Not only do you hear the birds and water, but also distant sounds of other players and even a jetliner flying 5 miles overhead. Just really incredible in the amount of detail that went into it. One hole, for example, is set right on a waterfall. With the surround sound, you can practically feel the spray coming off the falls! All in all, this is just an incredibly fun game to play. I can't seem to get enough of it. My wife is begging me to play something else but I can't seem to get away from it.
