Time Commando Was the first Action Game I ever played. It stays in my collection because of that.
Gameplay: 7/10
The problem with this game is that its set up like an action game, but its using the wrong type of engine to do this type of action. While the RE engine is fabulous for graphics back then, It was not good for this. The other problem with this game is something that it shares with timesplitters: there is no story. Its just running around in different times fighting everything and everyone.
Graphics: 7/10
These were ok, but revolutionary at the time. The time frames looked great and the enemies actually fit each time frame very well. Of course, if you want a newer version of this, look no further then the Timesplitter series. Still, this is one heck of an achivement for a 1990's title.
Sound: 7/10
Well, the music was pretty good, but the Sound FX were kinda lousy. Your character only had three things to say: "O", "auh", and "yea" and said them in different ways. O thats cool(sarcasm). The guns also weren't very good sounds either, but you can live with them.
Value: 5/10
Back then, this was worth 40 bucks because of how cool and revolutionary the graphics were and how it did good editions of all the time frames. Nowadays, its better to just pick up a Timesplitter game.
Tilt: 9/10
I love time commando and always will, but I review honestly so thats why it has some low scores. I hope to see a remake of this game in the future. Maybe even a Time Commando 3(2 exists, I just never played it).
Overall score: 7.3/10
