This is a game for the ages. Terrifically fast run'n'gun action, challenging single player, loads and loads of challenges, and last but not least, SPLIT SCREEN MULTIPLAYER! Though this game is 6 years old, I still play it often and with friends, which is a testament to its lasting appeal to both the hardcore and casual first person shooter fans. There are enough weapons to make any NRA aficionado giddy, and the vast selection of playable characters is mind blowing. You can have fun in multiplayer playing against bots, playing against friends, or heck, you can play against both! The only reason it gets a 9.5 is that there is no online play, and the story mode is a little stripped. Timesplitters 2 may feel very old school compared to many modern day shooters, but that's because it is! Its got the basic fundamentals, everything you need, nothing you don't. This is a shooter as its most fundamental level, and thankfully, it excels in this respect.
