I originally got TimeSplitters 2 out of a bargin bin as the first shooter I got for my GameCube. After playing it a while, I fell in love. This has got to be one of the best multiplayer games out for the GC. Even compared to it's superb sequal, TS2 still shines. The single player mode isn't very good at all,but that's not why you play TS2. It's the amazingly frantic split-screen multiplayer mode. Even on the least FPS friendly of consoles, TS2 is great fun for anyone with a pulse. The mapmaker adds more fun by allowing you to make the map, then kill everyone else who tries to beat you on it. The guns you can wield, such as double shotguns, double tommyguns and the rocket launcher are a blast to use and in many ways better than the guns in TimeSplitters: Future Perfect. This is one shooter that's great on any console, but it actually works well on the cube.
Gameplay: The gameplay is amazing on the multiplayer mode. Just run and gun, don't worry about jumping or ducking for cover, just blow the crap out of your opponents.
Graphics: The series isn't known for graphics, but TS2 looks good enough to make it's gameplay shine.
Sound: Again, not great, but above average.
Value: You can find this game for $10 used on most consoles, so that's one heck of a value if you like multiplayer games.
Final Thoughts: TS2 is a great game that defined a series, at least until Future Perfect came into the scene...
