What happened to the dev. staff from goldeneye? Oh! Here they are! Huzzah!

Timesplitters was the best FPS for PS2 for almost the first 2 years of it's life. Free Radical did an excellent job with all those skills they took away from goldeneye (a shooter that has arguable become more well known than the movie - and is easily better).

When Timesplitters came out at launch it was the deciding game that reassured me, "Yup, my PS2 was a -very- good purchasing decision."

Everything done here is top notch. For the time graphics were stellar, it's lightning fast, well-balanced, the level designs are textbook and picture perfect; not to mention the a.i. was surprisingly cunning, even for an FPS.

I haven't been as blown away by the follow up games in series, but the original was a page in history kids. It is still the only FPS that i've never traded in or sold off. and it's everywhere (usually between 5-7$)

Go get yourself a copy.
