A great sports game that takes after a great cartoon

All your favorite, loveable cast from the classic show "Tiny Toon Adventures" bring you this addicting and fun game for the Genesis, "Acme Allstars". This has got to be the best Tiny Toon game out there for it is really fun in almost every way with the following modes:

Story: the story is pretty basic but there's not much to expect from a sports game. Buster, Babs, Plucky, and Hamton form a team and compete in a number of basketball and soccer matches to become the best team in all of Acme Acres. All of the matches are either soccer or basketball as well as bowling, monty hitting, and an obstacle course.

Soccer: In this mode, you can choose up to four players, from a selection of your favorite characters (Buster, Furrball, Dizzy, Little Beeper, etc) to play on your team (right wing, left wing, center, and goalie) and 4 for your opponent. Then, of course, you play a free game of soccer. This is pretty fun, but it seems a bit easy at times.

Basketball: Choose up to three characters this time and play a nice game of b-ball. The timer moves a little faster for basketball than it does for soccer and there are four quarters rather than two halves. If you ask me, I personally like basketball better than soccer becuase it has a faster pace and it seems to take a little more strategy.

Another interesting feature to the game is that everyone has their own special. This can be helpful at times but be warned, as the special will automatically make your character tired and he/she will become slower and less accurate, but sometimes the special is worth it.

Obstacle Course: Only Buster, Babs, Plucky, and Hamton compete in the rest of these events. In the obstacle course, you run around the whole track and the one who receives the fastest time wins. Seems easy, right? Well, if you don't count the fact that you gain 1 second for every time you fall behind.

Bowling: My personal favorite out of the extra events. A lot of people don't like bowling becuase it is too hard to get a strike, the truth is, it's not that hard. In the game, you aim a little arrow and choose your ball's speed in order to knock down your pins.

Montana Hitting: kind of like "wack-a-mole" only your target is Montana Max. Your goal is to hit Montana Max as many times as you can against your opponents before time runs out. Elmyra and Dizzy also pop out of the holes but you lose points if you hit them.

multiplayer: a really fun feature in both co-op or against each other, especially in basketball or soccer. Play against a friend and prove who has the best team or work together.

In conclusion, this game has a lot of enjoyment and plenty to do. This is probably one of the best old-school sport games as well as the best Tiny Toon Adventures game. Though I do think more sports would be nice like football or tennis but basketball and soccer are both addicting. Anyway, this game should not be missed, I reccomend to anyone.
