If you haven't played this game, give it a try. It was a letdown on 360 but just right on PSP! Still repetitive but...
A lot of people thought this game would feature some new wrestlers like RVD, Jeff Hardy etc. but this is just a reboot of the original game just on handheld. The original game was a let down and I always felt that if it was on handheld, that let down would have been forgiven. Although it's too late for that now since it already debuted on X360, PS3 & PS2.
The game still plays like the original with the same Mortal Kombat style wrestling (Midway games are all the same no matter the genre), The same sounds, videos, story etc. but it's easier to play on a handheld. I don't remember you ever being able to play with the nobody's you wrestle against in story mode so that's a plus and expands your TNA roster greatly! I wouldn't recommend you buy this over Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 but if you are a TNA fan and have spare cash laying around then go pick this up.
FINAL RESULT: Despite the story mode drawback, this game makes up for that by adding new game modes & playing with the story mode wrestlers! This was a letdown on X360 but a decent game on PSP. Did I mention still repetitive?
