Firstly ToCA Race Driver 2. The game difficulty is in the average range for most of the race cars are faster than you at times but usually you are faster than them. The AI is to me very basic making the corners perfectly while you speed through them hitting a wall or spinning out in the grass or gravel. You can take short cuts but the AI wont. At least in this game they had made it as real as possible when you hit another vehicle damage is taken and it shows on yours as well as the AI's. There are four stages of damage that your car can receive. The first level is yellow your car is damaged but it will still perform fairly well. Second level it orange, your car will still keep going but the power and speed of the car is compromised greatly. Thirdly red, your car is so damaged the AI's cars are going by you as if you were standing still. Finally something has to give after you have taken so much damage. Most of the time it will be the loss of an entire wheel to prevent you from finishing the race and eventually you will have to restart the whole race. There is a point system and if you get first you get the highest points. In most races when you place first you will get either 10, 20 or 30 points and it drops down when you get in second and so on. Just as long as you have the highest points at the end of each championship race you can continue on if not you have to start over again. The graphics are very realistic as I said above you take damage so the developers made sure that it was as realistic as possible. The sound of the cars tends to repeat itself so they all sound the same no matter what. There isn't any music while you race but if you copy some music to your xbox hard drive you can use that as a custom soundtrack while you race. The down side of this game you don't get to choose which car you get to drive in. It is already selected for you. The controls are fairly basic and easy to learn especially if you are just using the controls in automatic setting so that you don't have to worry about shifting gears in the manual setting. Sometimes its great to have it in automatic but there are times that you will need to change it to manual. Now for Colin McRae Rally 04. Another realistic game but you don't get to see the damage that is done to the car as much as you do in ToCA Driver 2. The damage you get will be shown up later after you have had a race or you are heading on to another championship, but most of the time it will be after the race you have just finished in. It is a single car race trying to beat the clock and if you are not very good at the game (like me) you will probably be behind and you will never be able to beat the clock. This game you get to choose which car you want to be in and there are different styles 4WD and 2WD. The cars for this are different for both styles of racing and the tracks are different as well. They do repeat but you get better because you are always learning how to take that corner better and faster as you continue to play the game. The sounds of the game are realistic as well you hear rocks hitting the underside of the car when you have the camera inside the car itself. I prefer the away camera because you can see what is coming up instead of not knowing inside the car. The voice of your navigator is very flat and boring so you tend to tune him out and pay more attention to the arrows that come up on the screen telling you how sharp or easy the corners will be. No music in this game as well but if there was I would find it a distraction more than anything else because you are concentrating on getting the better time than listening to the music. Getting this bundle was probably my best investment for they are great games which I'm still learning to play and it only has been a few weeks so for those out there I highly recommend this game for the racer at heart.
