Best on line game by a full lap of spa!!!
Im gonna start with the negative and finish with a non stop climax of how great this game is.
The main mode of this game, i think its the story mode or something, is alright, im bored of it already and cant remember whats its called, you start every race in the middle somewhere and have to finish top 6 or something like that.
Pro Career however, is great fun, you can have optional practise sessions, then you have to qualify then race and win the championship spread over nine courses to progress to next grade of cars. Theres plenty of categories like, open wheel, touring cars, off road and other greats. When you win the tournament s you unlock the next grade of cars plus bonus cars.
Online play is where it is at. Ive had so much fun online i didnt play single player modes for two weeks after i got it. To be a host on line you need to unlock different tournaments which is done via pro career mode and maybe the other mode which i got bored of playing.
Make sure you have a headset so you can join in the banter with everyone.
Only yesterday, i was in a tournament with 2 yanks, 2 canadians, a welsh man, a aussie and a french dude the game was made more enjoyable by the banter, the laughs and sometimes general conversation. GET THE HEADSET!!! i was converted now you should be too.
You can race up to 8 players at a time, never has there been slow down on any race. Having said that every now and again and i mean very rarely the game goes crazy and its impossible to race, you'll know what i mean when it happens. If you have idiot drivers that just try to spoil things you can kick em out.
Multiplayer on race games for me is the key component that gives a the game any life span. This game is the best multi player racer by miles, i will always play as long as theres people on line to play. As racing in tonnes of varieties of cars and tracks against different people everytime whilst being able to have a laugh via banter is very hard to get bored of.
In brief, sigle player average really, only play it to unlock events so you can be a better host. If you're not on line you;ll get bored and if you're not online, GET ONLINE!!! ill see you at the starting grid.
