ToeJam and Earl has to be one of the most fun/bizarre games ever made.
The game is about two fun-loving, hip-hopping aliens named ToeJam and Earl that need to get their ship put back together in order to get back to planet Funkotron. The ten ship pieces are strewn over a few dozen levels along with various gift boxes that contain elements that could either help or hurt you.
It plays so numbingly awesome, meaning that I could play it for hours and hours and just zone out. There's nothing that you really need to pay attention to other than your health bar and avoiding touching the enemies. The fact that the gifts and layouts of enemies change everytime you play the game just makes it that much more fantastic, and it will never get boring. A complete run through of the game would take about a hour and twenty minutes.
One thing that makes this game such a classic is the absolute hilarity involved. The characters spout out various early 90's phrases, and wear big chains and backwards hats. The enemies are so bizarre...they include a man who will run you over with his lawn mower and and troop of chickens who will fire tomatoes at you out of a cannon.
I can honestly recommend this game to anyone and everyone. The gameplay is so basic (it's really just a lot of walking around), yet insanely fun and the design is so bizarre and hilarious that everyone should be able to get some enjoyment out of it.
