This title which began the Tokyo Xtreme Racer and Import Tuner Challenge series is ahead of its time.
It brought elements that clueless professional reviewers missed. Tisk. 10 years later the depth and subtle effects are clear. I guess with people where anything short of a piano falling on your heads goes unnoticed, it's not surprising to see how short sighted a review this was given. Those subtle touches are now what mature gamers want. Not the over the top looney tunes nonsense as such franchises as hablows cater too. This is a title for mature gamers who appreciate the subtle and finer nuances. Especially one where the content and features that require some brain matter and flex of that muscle are given precedence over the eye candy fluff.
Good game that has spawned a very innovative and constantly improving series. Unfortunately too many small minded reviewers can't see past the lack of uber kewl psychedelic 'splosions.
