Not bad at all for $20

User Rating: 8.8 | Kaido Racer 2 PS2
Pros: Great physics that utilize real driving techniques, loads of cars and options, beautiful tracks, lightning fast load times (10 seconds max).

Cons: STEEP learning curve, not pick-up and play, pointless parts manufacturer selection, menus and race types a little confusing at first.

My drift game experience comes from Initial D and GTHD Concept, and I play both religiously. This game is actually a very nice middle-ground between the two. Overall, the whole thing is more detailed than initial D, but not as detailed as Gran Turismo. Lots of cars, lots of customization (mechanical and asthetic), and the drift mechanics are good, not the best I've seen, but close. Not as good as GTHD Concept, but LOADS better than Ridge Racer 7. This game actually requires dedication, you can't just pick it up and start playing like a champ. In stock form many cars are nearly uncontrollable, 4WD cars especially. It takes quite a bit of money earning and parts upgrading/tweaking before you can drift with confidence, and even then it's tricky.

For $20 you really can't lose, it's a deal for sure. If you're torn between this, Ridge Racer 7, or NFS Carbon, I'd go with this. It's cheaper and better than the other two big drift games right now. This should hold you over well untill GTHD comes out later in the year.
