Different from the Tokyo Xtreme Racer series that fans are use to, but i'm sure fans will notice this is Initial D.
When you pop this game into your console the PS2 that is, you will notice one thing, there is a lot of loading screens one after the other when you exit out of menus you will get stuck with the loading screens but you will get use to it. Now when you start off you are given $1,500,000 to start wtih but don't think you can buy yourself a sweet ride yet because you will have to buy a decent used car that atleast goes 130 hp other then that you won't have enough money to buy what your eyes see at first sight. You have day races and night and you can only race a couple of times during the day then you are forced to race racers during the night time which you unlock parts and new cars from new rivals but you have to have the same parts on your ride to go up against these rivals which is the neat part about it, some day races earns you cash up to 20 thousand to 120 thousand depending on which level racer you are. Cars that can be bought are a lot to choose from but not as many as i thought but you got your Honda's Acura,Subaru,Audi,Nissan, etc..
Parts are mostly the same from your body kits, carbon fiber, engine swaps, clutch, brakes, suspension,LSD (not the drugs!) tires, rims, lights it's all there. So as you make your way down the hill or to the top of the hill this game has a lot to offer controls are pretty good and you notice your add on's of parts that you add, the whole point of this game is to be the best and the fastest king on the hill.
Overall this game is smooth and besides the annoying loading screens i think you can have a lot of fun with this Tokyo Xtreme Racer slash Initial D tittle so if your a fan of the series or if your just a racing fan of any game then buy it it's only $20 bucks, if your new to the series just rent it first then you decide.
I love this game and i hope they continue these series for a while.
