Ghost Recon 2 was never hyped as much as Halo 2 or any other Xbox game. However, if you give this game a chance, you’ll forget about Halo 2’s live play. GR2 is an amazing game. It’s the best military shooter to date, on any platform. It’s such an awesome experience on Xbox live, something you really need to try for yourself. Nothing like lying next to some trees or shooting from some bushes and having the enemy walk right past you because your camouflage is so good. OTS, or Over The Shoulder view is something new to Clancy games. Kind of like SOCOM II, it allows you to see your soldier as he goes through the motions and tries to survive. After talking to many folks online, many seem to prefer OTS to the traditional First person view. Guns. There are lots of them. They all kick ass. Enough said. I especially love the M29 (OICW) camera rifle. Nothing like hiding behind a wall or rock and shooting down enemies without them being able to hit you. Xbox live play is smooth and for the most part, lag less. Lots of modes to play and it never plays out the same. No matter what reviews say, you really need to try this game for yourself. This WILL be the top Xbox live game in no time, topping Halo 2 and Rainbow Six 3. If you like: • Military shooters • Clancy games • Realism (1-2 well placed hits will drop you) • Strategy • Team-oriented • Graphics • Real guns Then buy this game. You won’t regret it.
