Great game in the Ghost Recon Series.
As a standalone game is this a great Ghost Recon game. The gameplay is the most immersive and tactical of the series. You have much more direct control over your AI teammate than in GR2 which allows you many more options.
Another plus is that unlike GR2 where enemys would suddenly appear when you crossed an imaginary line, in GRAW you can sneak up, or around enemies or choose to fight them head on. I think this fact alone makes it an improvement over GR2. Also, the enemy AI is probably the best of the series.
One negative about this game is the graphics. I personally have no problem with them but I can see how some graphic purists might be turned off. Overall though the graphics work well enough. There are some framerate issues early on but after the second mission the framerate issue does not come up.
Multiplayer maps are really cool in GRAW. Almost all the maps have ladders all over the place so you always have to look out for snipers. If however you prefer being the sniper, these maps will be a welcome change from the mostly flat maps of GR2. Personally team sharpshooter matches seem to become just spawn killing fests so I almost always play last man standing or last team standing which is alot of fun on these maps.
Overall, if you are a fan of the Ghost Recon series and arent afraid of change, you should have a good time playing GRAW. Even though there a few graphical issues, the quality gameplay makes putting up with it very worthwhile.
