A great addition to the Ghost Recon franchise!
Singleplayer:
The lengthy (by today's standards) single player takes on a wide range of missions involving just about everything a modern (future) shooter should, enveloping multiple ways to tackle a situation and enveloping slow stealthy play and fast paced gun fights.
You will really take time approaching situations and planning out different methods to take down enemies without being noticed, coordinating orchestrated shots with teammates, and sneaking around. If you only have AI to back you up, it will feel like a well polished machine as you move through the landscapes, given the AI is generally intelligent and acts as you do in the decisions you make, whether it be sneaking or shooting.
Multiplayer:
Although the multiplayer only has a few maps (6 in total I believe) and 5 game modes, you will never find it tiring to play the same maps over and over, as they are laid out in an excellent fashion, allowing for a variety of play styles.
The progression system works well- there are three classes in which you level up: recon, engineer, and rifleman. A team with a good balance between the classes will exceed in playing off eachothers capabilities to have an upper edge on the enemies.
The cover system is spectacular, and really gives an authentic feel as you sprint from cover to cover as opposed to simply tapping a button and sticking to a wall. Cover is key to winning any gunfight, and adds a tactical aspect to teamwork to advance across areas and play objectives while providing cover and support to eachother.
The gunsmithing is a great way to give your weapon a unique feel, and make it suit your play style perfectly as there are many components that can be swapped out on each gun.
Overall:
Ghost Recon Future Soldier is a very tactical game, often not geared towards fast paced action, but with executing thought out plans and tactics.
Running into the open and playing it like most modern shooters will assure you are promptly dropped to the floor, and teamwork is necessary to really excel.
The only major fault Ghost Recon Future Soldier contains is that it is definitely not for everyone. The ones that need to be within 5 seconds of a gunfight and don't enjoy team-based tactics and objectives will not get much out of this game.
A great third person modern (future) shooter that has great replayability, a very smooth feel and great visuals makes Ghost Recon Future Soldier a great way to spend 67._ _!
