While the graphics could have use a boost, the gameplay and great multiplayer make this an awesome Xbox shooter.
The gameplay in Ghost Recon is superb. You have a great amount of guns to carry, which really adds strategy, as some guns are better for some missions than others.
At the beginning of every Ghost Recon game, whether you're playing multiplayer or single player, you will be able to choose three soldiers for every team, or squad; in which there are two, Alpha and Bravo team.
You can choose from Riflemen, Snipers, Anti-Tankmen, and more, and you will need some of them, but not others, depending on your mission type, and the map that you're playing in.
There are a lot of maps, about a dozen, and none are too similar, so they will always need a new strategy, which should keep the player on his toes.
It's great playing on multiplayer, whether online or offline. You can play cooperative or adversarial, and both are great.
It's good fun making strategies with your friends, and it is made very well.
Graphics
The texture are horrendous, and the character models, lighting/shadowing, and other items in the game could have been improved on. Especially considering that Halo was released just a year before this game was.
You cannot see your gun, shich isn't bothersome, but more of a realizm problem.
Sound
The sound is below average. With a bit of talking from your troops, when given orders such as "I'll be on my way", and stuff like that.
Overall the gun noises, explosions, etc. all sound average, but one thng that is neat, is that if something explodes near you, there will be a ringing noise, just like there would be in real life. Overall
Overall, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon is a fun tactical FPS, that is great to play alone, or with friends. The Xbox Live is great as well. While the graphics aren't that great, the gameplay makes up for it, and makes it playable.
I recommend this one, definately pick it up.
