HAWK is a very addictive game that is worth the money to play. First of all, let me say for all of you haters that nowhere on the packaging does the game claim to be a "flight simulator"; so those of you that are expecting detailed flight controls with waypoints, take off's, landings and configurable consol gadgets, get over it because it's not included in this game.

Now, with that out of the way, let me say that this is a first rate, fun, shoot-um up. I don't want to use the word "arcade style" game, because it's much more than that. You have the ability to pick your targets, command your wingman, and use ERS etc. Also, one very nice feature in this game is the voice command. You can verbally command your jet to shoot, deploy flares, command wingman to cover your position or engage etc. (I hope to see more of this technology in future games). Additionally, the terrain is awesome. It is truly realistic using the GEO eye satellite. This game is on the cutting edge of technology.

But, first and foremost, the action is extreme and intense. Once the bogies enter the battle field, you have hardly any time to think, you just react, fire and evade. However, it is necessary to always keep the objective in mind, because the bogies will try to distract you and lure you away from your mission. The action is intense from beginning to end. As you advance, it just gets more extreme. Good job UBI. Please continue creating games using the GEO eye and voice command technology.
The game is definitely solid, but I encourage you to download the demo if you are skeptical.

NOTE: I have not tried the multiplayer yet, so I can't comment on that area.
