Extremely well done, but not without minor flaws

User Rating: 8.9 | Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow XBOX
To start out, I love this game. The campaign is genuinely fun, though not very diverse. Just kill all bad guys on each level and you can't lose, with the occasional disarmament of a bomb or hostage rescue. The graphics are more than sufficient, the gun models are the best of any game to date. People whine about the AI a lot, but it really is pretty good most of the time. No worse than any other AI, at least. The online is addictive, but hard. The only bad part about an addictive game is that people play it too much, and become unrealistically good at exploiting minor glitches and whatnot. But all in all, it's a blast to play, especially after you get good enough to actually kill enemies. The minor flaws are few and far between, and the only major flaw that I see with the game is totally opinion. I hate the aiming system. It's too unreliable. You have a dot with a circle surrounding it for your aimer, and anything inside the circle can potentially get hit with a bullet, but it's no guarantee. Get the itty-bitty dot on the enemy and your bullets will hit, but the controls are not smooth enough to let you consistently do that. This game really needed iron sights. Oh well, lockdown willl have them. Basically, with this aiming system, it's simulataneously too easy and too hard to kill enemies. I like knowing that if my aimer is on the enemies, my shots will hit them. In conclusion, this game is really well made. It's addictively fun with good graphics and AI. It has flaws, but they are minor. I want anyone who reads this review to understand that. THE FLAWS ARE MINOR, AND DO NOT SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED THE AMOUNT OF FUN THAT CAN BE HAD WITH THIS GAME! This game sells for $20 now, which is an absolute steal. Get it if you like tactical FPS.
