This is a realistic first person shooter with a squad of three to command in anti-terrorist based missions – just like the last one!
Again you play as Ding Chavez, the Lead Field Operative with team members Louis Loiselle, Eddie Price and Dieter Weber. You command them and they will take positions outside doors and behind objects where they can take out terrorist and rescue hostages.
Once again the weapons are done well here with good feel, sound and effectiveness.
The assault rifles are once again the weapons of choice. They have all the power, accuracy and range for most missions. The sniper rifles are fun to use and there are some new ones added to the game that were not in the first one.
Grenades are back of course and are as effective as ever as are door breeching and tear gas. Don’t forget to wear a mask.
The missions offer plenty of variety and types from a variety of locations. Some have tight quarters indoors and some have a combination of indoor and outdoor environments.
The graphics are acceptable, not great, but effective. The sound effects are one of the best features of the game. Did you get that 5.1 Dolby Digital sound system yet?
Rainbow Six 3 Black Arrow and Rainbow Six 3 are both cut from the same cloth. If you like one you’ll like them both. I know I did and I think you will too.
