I've seen mixed feelings of this game but overall there is one general feeling that most people, including myself, share. The game simply kicks ass. It is truly a masterpiece in almost every angle. The graphics are absolutley stunning, easily the best on Xbox and put Riddick and Halo 2 to shame. The lighting I think is what really sets it apart with awesome shadows and night vision screens. The sound is also very well done with audio cues being everywhere and really affecting your gameplay. Co-op is a new attraction that is definatley good for people without Live and have a buddy over. The multiplayer is really what sells it to me though as it is incredibley immersive and addictive. The levels are very well made and the new gadgets and weapons are awesome. This truly is a killer app for the XBox and makes it alone the dominat of the 3 consoles. No other game this year even compares.
