Altho Double Agent has been out for some time, i think this game deserves a good ol review.

Chaos Theory, the third installment in the Splinter Cell series proves why SC is the best at what it is, and it is a kick ass stealth action game that pushes the xbox to its limit.

Realistic comes to mind when i think of splinter cell in general, but when speaking of Chaos Theory, its a must that you must include the level of realism this game contains. Now altho this is a video game and i understand that video games aren't perfect, nor should you think that this game is a complete sim of reality, but damn with details upon details graphic, physic, and game play wise its hard not to imagine this really going on somewhere.

The controls once again deliver some tight and responsive stuff, while not a whole lot has changed there are some slight changes that you'll have to get use to if you've been playing Pandora Tomorrow. The whole lethal and non lethal thing is also introduced which is nice deciding weather you want to just knock this dude out or if you wanna gut check him with your knife.

the story is, well, a splinter cell story, tom clancy style stuff, confusing, weird, but very well done and put together. ive actually forgotten the entire story of chaos theory but thats up to you to find out by playing the actual game. nevertheless the story is strong just like the previous 2 installments.

THE GRAPHICS THE GRAPHICS THE GGGRRAAPPPHHIICCSSS. light reflects like never before, the engine in this game is completely awesome and a step up from previous titles. Rag doll physics, amazing textures, when your in the rain Sam is wet and shiny, very nice and polished, also when holding your knife to a baddies throat, the blade nicely reflects light.

i enjoy difficult games, which is why i especially enjoy this game, with normal, hard and expert levels theres a setting for anyone daring enough to test there stealth skills. Expert mode being the hardest, its not too hard in the retarded way that some games tend to be. its a lot more realistic and should be played on the second time around, as the first time around should be played on hard mode, if you want the full experience. On expert only a couple shots will take you down, and if your close enough, one shot will have you wishing you had remembered to save before you went running around that corner not paying attention to how much noise your making and how visible you are.

Now for the bad side. As much as i love this game it wouldn't be fair to only praise the game and have someone play it and find a flaw that they seriously hate that i forgot to mention. Al tho this game is completely awesome and if you dont like it well, then theres something wrong with you. Anyways this is a slow going game, not a lot of run and gun type stuff here. metal gear solid fans may be bored. there are no cyborg ninjas and people with super human strengths that hang out with animals and unleash there battle emotions upon you. Levels will have you tip toeing around not knowing what you may run into. Again your life bar does not go all the way across the top of the screen. If you get shot while playin on Expert or even hard, it better be from far away and to the leg. You wont be removing multiple bullet holes from your chest because you'll be dead on the ground. the objectives maybe slight boring at times, some slightly simple stuff scattered thought the levels (tapping phone wires?). But again, this is a game based on realistic stuff and a good story that has you doing things in the levels that correspond with the story.

All in all Splinter Cell Chaos Theory is a very tight and clean title that will satisfy anyones urge to sneak through the shadows and take fools out silently and with class.
