Could have been better.

User Rating: 7.7 | Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory PS2
Splinter Cell: CT is a good game in its core, but the PS2 version lacks some of the things that made the X-box and PC versions so much better.

Gameplay: The gameplay of this game is very entertaining in the beginning, but it gets more and more booring the longer you play. The introducing of a knife is a good move, and its fun to slit the throat of a soldierĀ“open. The story is belivable, but not very grasping, since you dont get to know it so much. It is, at least in the beginning, just fun to complete the missions in different ways, lethal or non lethal. The PS2 version of the game, is much worse than the X-box or PC version. The graphics are watered down, and really dont impress at all, the coop mode is a total joke since the missions are divided into extremely small bits of gameplay, wich is really annoying.
There are some bright moments in the game, but they are to few.

Graphics: The graphics are... bad. Yes they arent good at all. The PS2 lacks the power to perform any real eye-candy. Some things arent just so detailed you would want them to be, and it doesn't look as realistic as on the other versions.

Design: Some levels of the game are really well designed, and some are just crap. Of the 12 levels of the game there are maybe 4 that are really enjoyable. Of course some players may like the levels i think are booring in design, this is only my point of view.

Summary: Splinter cell:CT is a good game, but it just doesn't reach the top. I recomend this game to SC fans but if you are not an SC fan i suggest MGS 3: Snake Eater, wich is better in most spects. If you have access to a computer that is quiet good, or an X-Box, buy it to one of those instead. (X-Box version is best IMAO)
