Splinter Cell may not be for everyone but neverthless it is still an amazing game.

Splinter Cell Chaos Theory came out shortly after the second game and it makes a number of improvements in the game, but at the time seems to have added a few problems.

As good as the single player was in Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow, it did feel a little lacking. To improve on the single player Ubisoft added several new elemnts. The first is that players are given a lot more freedom in this version and can choose how they want to play with a kit selection at the mission briefing. You can choose to go just as stealthy as previous games, or you can go Rambo style with a shotgun and frag grenades. This is very nice and makes the game more accessible to new players. Guards have also gotten alot smarter. They no longer brush things off right away, as they will start to come looking for you and use flairs to find you. Sam Fisher has also gained many new tricks. He can hang upside down from a pole in order to snap his enemy's neck. He has also gained a knife. He can use said knife to kill opponents, break locks, or cut material to find new paths. The graphics have also been greatly improved since the previous game and can stand up to any of the other big competitors out there. Ubi Soft has also added a co-op mode. Unlike Halo, you don't play through the main singleplayer campaign, but rather several missions designed for co-op play. You will not be able to finish these missions as you will rely on your partner to get you up to higher ledges or lower you down somewhere.

My biggest disappointment was with the multiplayer. It seems that they have made it easier for the spy's to win. I found that in Pandora Tomorrow if a spy was caught by a Mercenary, they had no chance of survival, but now the spy has a fairly good chance of to kill the mercenary. This often causes matches where the spys will not even go for their objectives and just try to kill the mercs. Also the graphics were not improved for the multiplayer. They are essentially the same as the previous game which is too bad because of the amazing single player game's graphics.

Despite it's improvements in the single player there are just too many faults in the multiplayer for me to fully recommend this game, but if you are a fan of the previous games single player then you should definitely, pick this game up.
