Not the Splinter Cell I was expecting

At a measly 5 hours, even played on Realistic, the Single Player campaign was far too short. I've heard all the reviewers say how the multiplayer makes up for it, but I don't accept that. The prior SC games provided excellent single player experiences and I am very disappointed in Conviction. That is not to say that the experience, for as long as it lasted, wasn't good. The story is excellent which makes its brevity that much more disappointing. Additionally, where did my stealth game go? Why can't I disable/knock out opponents any more? I finally got a knife in Chaos Theory and lost it again in Conviction.

Bottom line, if you want a good single player experience, go elsewhere. The story is very good but it is far, far too short. If you are interested in multiplayer, you could definitely do worse. For me, I wish multiplayer wasn't so much of a focus these days, especially when it comes at the expense of single player.
