Splinter Cell DA is an old-school stealth game. Its tense, thrilling and very enjoyable, best Splinter Cell so far.
GAMEPLAY: Gameplay in DA is a little complicated at first, but once you get the hang of it, which will not be long, you will be snapping necks, knifing guards, climbing pipes, and having a bloody good time! You can take out enemies lethally with a knife, or non-lethally. And with the new trust meter system you will have to choose wisely. You work for two factions JBA and NSA, each will give you different objectives, usually contradicting each others. Completing a factions objectives will place the trust meter more in their direction. But it is best to keep the trust meter in the middle. As if you lose to much trust you will get more essential objectives from that faction to try and gain their trust back. It also effects the equipment you will be given. This is a nice feature as it makes you think more, rather than just slaughtering anything that moves (which you can still do) you have to think what the consequences will be for each decision you must make. DA is great fun. But the split screen co-op campaign is worth a mention as well. It is a lot of fun to play this with a buddy, helping each other over walls and back climbing up shafts and even good cop/ bad cop interrogation of guards.
GOOD: Excellent story, brilliant voice acting, a good fitting soundtrack, extremely fun co-op, decent online play, great gameplay, just generally very good.
BAD: There are definably better looking ps2 games out there, but the graphics are ok.
OVERVIEW: SC DA is second only to metal gear solid 3 as stealth games go, an excellent games. But can Splinter Cell Conviction be better? Read my review of the latest SC!
