Splinter Cell PT for the Xbox

The Graphics - The graphics on the Xbox version are absolutely amazing. The lighting and particle effects are excellent and they aren't too farfetched or underdone. At some points there would be parts where the lighting would be REALLY bright in one spot then completely dark in another (mostly crevices and other places). But other then that everything (including objects in the environment) are nicely drawn and beautifully displayed. The Sound - The soudns in SCPT are mediocre in a sense. It has okay explosions but most of the time it sounds rather bland. It does take a little away from the enjoyment of the game but overall the sounds are good. The Gameplay - The gameplay is rather smooth and very easy to differentiate action to action. The controls are mapped on the controller to help with moving Sam Fisher around. The shorcut shoulder buttons are a nice to touch to helping you get away from enemies. The online play is especially gripping as the mercenaries run around a corner, their flashlights just barely missing your arm against the wall. The Value - For $39.99 (CAN) you can easily pick this game up at a local EBGames or GameStop. I recommend it for it is worth every penny. Conclusion - SCPT gives you everything you could ever want in a stealth based action game, and possibly alot more. The sounds are a little on the down side as it is rather bland, but the gameplay and the graphics surely make up for it. For $39.99 (CAN) this game is easily a steal.
